Cole claims Icons of Darts League Group One with decisive win over debutant Smith

Cole claimed victories over Jose Justicia (5-1), Anastasia Dobromyslova (5-0) and finally Smith who impressed on his debut in the competition but due to his defeat to the 19-year old, he lost out on leg difference but he will be one to look out for this week.

As will Keelan Kay who finished third by virtue of leg difference also claiming six points from a possible eight. Jose Justicia who is of course a former PDC Tour Card holder did not get going only claiming one win against Anastasia Dobromyslova finishing fourth with two points.

The latter finished bottom on Day One and despite starting well running Justin Smith close, her average decreased as the day went on going from 80 down to 46 at one point.

The Icons of Darts League is a competition that runs on 24 idifferent days from Monday April 6 through to Saturday May 2. Each playing week consists of six players. There are five players on each matchday with one player taking a rest.

Each day consists of four matches for each player with the player with the most wins claiming the group win for that day.
