Cross brushes aside O'Connor with 110 average as Pietreczko continues form with Bunting shock win

Ricardo Pietreczko and Rob Cross have joined the Quarter-Finals at the European Darts Open. Pietreczko caused another shock in Leverkusen.

After being surprisingly too strong for Peter Wright (6-5) on Saturday evening, he now had to face Stephen Bunting as well. The difference was mainly in the doubles. Pietreczko went 6/8 on the doubles, compared to 3/13 for Bunting. In the end it was 6-3 for the German, who now faces another former world champion.

Cross was able to win easily 6-1 over William O'Connor. He recorded an average of 110 and beat 'The Magpie' 6-1. Among others, 'Voltage' threw three 100+ finishes (100, 161 and 128) and an 11-darter.
