Rob Cross will be Michael van Gerwen's opponent in the final of the European Championship later on Sunday evening. Voltage easily beat Joe Cullen in the semi-finals.
Cullen could not show the good play that allowed him to reach the last four. Cross, in good form again in recent weeks, had a 9-0 lead after nine legs. Cullen avoided a whitewash as he hit a 126 checkout in the tenth leg. In the end, Cross won the game 11-3.
Both finalists have won the tournament before. Van Gerwen took the European Championship title four times in a row from 2014 to 2017, while Cross claimed the victory in 2019.

- Should never have gone to £1,000,000 from £500k, incrementally say over 5 years. Future problem could be if Paddy Power pull out as sponsor, would anyone else cough up that amount? What if a future Government changes the rules on who can sponsor? There is only one way to go with gambling money and thats backwards. I first met him at Lakeside in 92, I wasn't a fan at first as I liked Kevin Kenny and the crowd were very pro Jamie but once he went to the PDC and he walked to the stage to that Loch Lomond song I became a fan and would sing with the crowd until I was hoarse.
