Chris Dobey heads into another PDC World Darts Championship, his 7th in total and the buzz is firmly there for the Bedlington ace known as 'Hollywood'.

"There's still a buzz, it's obviously the one everybody talks about. Even my friends and family back home, they just love it. They spend Christmas time just watching the darts. Just to play on the biggest stage of them all is a great feeling so I can't wait to be back up there," said Dobey to Tungsten Tales.

First up will be Martijn Kleermaker and Xicheng Han, a good draw for Dobey but he is wary in particular of the Dutch Giant.

"If I play my game, I've always got a decent enough chance. Martijn's a good player, he beats Nathan (Aspinall) last week in the Players Championship Finals so obviously everyone knows that he can play and everyone who qualifies is there for a reason. They are not just there to make the numbers up. They deserve their place to be there. Whoever comes out the winner, I'll be ready."

Multiple fourth round appearances at the Ally Pally, he will look to change the close defeats to wins this time.

"I've came close and probably should have won the majority of those matches. It's just one to build on and go one further and why not go all the way."

One of those defeats came to Glen Durrant, a close friend despite rival football allegiances who recently dropped off the PDC Tour and he believes he's too good to be out for long.

"I've spent a good few months with Glen and I've learnt a lot from Glen. It's sad to see the dip in his game but I know how good he is and I know he can bounce back from that. He's too good to not be on the tour."
