Glen Durrant is currently top of the Premier League and has been since the break in March due to Coronavirus but will return hoping to continue that winning form in Milton Keynes.
A debut season in the Premier League to remember for good and bad reasons, Durrant spoke ahead of next week and said that it's all about seeing the reality of the situation and adapting to it.
But also for the Teesside ace, he is glad to get it completed despite it being finished behind closed doors.
"It was all going so well. At least I tasted the Premier League with a full crowd, I feel very blessed. Also feel cheated as well; I've not played in front of certainly Newcastle against the World Champion right on my doorstep. It's just been an unbelievable year but I'm one of the lucky ones. There's people going through difficult times right now," said Durrant to
Weekly Dartscast.
"On a personal level, I just want the Premier League to be completed. I would hate for it to have ended mid season, at least it's all going to be done and dusted. It would be amazing to play in front of packed arenas but that just isn't going to happen. So you've got to adapt and understand the reality of the situation we are in."
"It's a real privilege to be involved. To be sat on top of the Premier League, it's actually been good for my reputation. I've had messages from fans who probably only watch the Premier League and Ally Pally so there's a whole new sort of fanbase."
