Dutch commentator voices worries about Van Gerwen: 'The fact that Michael still won nothing is beginning to worry me'

Michael van Gerwen has failed to win a PDC tournament this year. Darts commentator Jacques Nieuwlaat is starting to get worried.

Van Gerwen, former World Number One, has now dropped to third place in the Order of Merit.

"We are now in August and Michael still hasn't won a single tournament this year. Until May I thought, well, it will come. But in the meantime 23 tournaments of the Players Championship have been completed and we have already had the necessary TV tournaments ... I'm starting to worry a bit," said Nieuwlaat in the Double Trouble Dartscast.

RTL 7 presenter Koert Westerman is less concerned. ''One hundred percent'', Westerman responds to the question whether Van Gerwen and Dirk van Duijvenbode will win the World Cup of Darts in September.
