Evans claims top spot in Icons of Darts League Group Three with five wins in a row

Evans has been one of the standouts since the MODUS tournaments began and showed that again today claiming five wins on the spin in his six games to garner 10 points.

He began his day with a 4-1 win over Martin Adams in which he averaged 102 and then edged past Jarred Cole who finished second with four wins and two defeats.

He increased his average further when he took on Keelan Kay averaging 103 in a 4-1 win and then defeated Paul Nicholson 4-2.

'Stretch' made it five on a row and claimed the group win by seeing off Ritchie Edhouse 4-2 but his clean sweep was halted by Jose Justicia who had his best day so far level with Jarred Cole but behind on leg difference in third.

Martin Adams was next with six points with three wins and three defeats. Paul Nicholson and Keelan Kay finished in fifth and sixth both with two wins and four defeats while Ritchie Edhouse was on one win and five defeats.

Fallon Sherrock was replaced by Keelan Kay in today's line-up but 'The Queen of the Palace' will only temporarily step out of the competition and will be back on Friday.
