Danny Noppert and Ritchie Edhouse have qualified for the last sixteen at the Baltic Sea Darts Open this Saturday evening in Kiel.
For Noppert, it was at the expense of Raymond van Barneveld. 'The Freeze' won 6-5 on Saturday night after a fine comeback. The beginning of the match was for Van Barneveld. The Dutchman started very well and was leading 4-1 after five legs after a 12-darter and a 96 finish. By throwing out 120 and 112, Noppert reduced the deficit to 3-4. It then became 4-4 after a 12-darter from Noppert. Noppert then hit 101 for a 5-4 lead. Van Barneveld forced a deciding leg, which was then won by Noppert on an 11-darter.
Ritchie Edhouse also managed to reach the last sixteen at the Euro Tour tournament in Kiel. The Englishman has been in good form for weeks, but initially lost a 4-1 lead against Jonny Clayton. In the end it became 6-5 for Edhouse.
