Gurney hasn't given up hope of returning to winning ways: "There is another major in me. I'm determined to prove all the doubters wrong"

A former World Grand Prix and Players Championship Finals winner at his peak, Daryl Gurney has seen his form cool off over the last couple of years. However, Superchin remains confident he can return to the upper echelons of the darting scene.

"I'm in a good place right now and if I can get my hair screwed on, honestly there is another major in me," says a confident Gurney in conversation with Online Darts after the recent Armageddon exhibition.

Holding off the rise of Josh Rock, Gurney has maintained his position alongside Brendan Dolan in the Northern Ireland team at the upcoming World Cup of Darts.

"At the moment it's still baby steps and I'm doing a lot to try and get myself there," Gurney continues. "I will get there. It could be this year it could be next year but I am on the way back and I am determined to prove all the doubters wrong."
