Daryl Gurney is through to the second round at the World Matchplay but he had to reel off six consecutive legs to do so against Ricky Evans.
Gurney will next face Vincent van der Voort who saw off Dave Chisnall also on Monday evening and he wants a more consistent display.
“It was good at the end, but whenever you’re playing against the top top players, I would have lost that game early on," said Gurney post-match to
Online Darts.
“I need to sharpen up, but I’m practising really really well. When you go up and do a display like that, it’s really disappointing.”
