Hempel did not feel provoked by Brown over-celebrating: "Darts is all about emotions"

Florian Hempel reached the second round of the World Darts Championship in London on Friday. After a very exciting match, former World Youth Champion Keegan Brown was defeated 3-2.

In this match, the players remained anything but calm. At one point Brown turned around towards Hempel after a successful shot at celebrated wildly.

German broadcaster Sport1 asked Hempel afterwards if Brown went too far with his action. Hempel, however, was not bothered by his opponent's behavior. "That was completely within limits. We are playing at the world championship. Besides, for Keegan other things (his Tour Card) also played a role. He is a very emotional player and that is completely fine,'' the German responded.

Hempel even put the blame on himself as well. ''He turned around once and I stepped into the exclusion zone too fast. I don't blame him at all.
