Henderson and Wright set sights on World Cup of Darts defense: "We'll play with pride, we're there to win it"

Scotland's pairing of John Henderson and Peter Wright eased past Hong Kong 5-1 but for the defending champions, they were impressed by the new look duo while setting their sights on defending the title.

"Very dangerous. Had to think about coming in and playing guys that you don't know what to expect but they can play darts. Peter (Wright) carried me there I do believe and his experience got me through there but Hong Kong don't underestimate them at all," said Henderson.

"I'm playing with one of the best players in the world. We'll play with pride, we're there to win it, we're not there to compete."

"I know he is going to carry me all the way through. Hong Kong and all the Asian Tours have obviously been on lockdown so they haven't been able to play competition darts properly like ourselves but they haven't shown themselves up," said Wright.
