Michael Smith and James Wade majorly impressed in their opener for England as they saw off the Czech pairing of Adam Gawlas and Karel Sedlacek in a professional display averaging 99.
Both were buzzing as a result and both have the belief that they can break England's prior duck in the World Cup of Darts.
"I've got the mop at the side of me, he just cleans up everything I do. I can see on the look on his face both of us just buzzed off it, that was an amazing feeling then," said Smith.
"Apart from the second leg, I was hitting 180's and doubles at the right time and when I hit a bad score, he'd step up with a 140 to get me back in the leg. It's unbelievable being with him, it's unreal."
"I don't care what they've done before. I was buzzing up there like no singles tournament has done before. Bouncing off each other, I was electric," said Wade.
"Look at him, he hits bundles of trebles and 180's. If you can't buzz off that, you can't buzz at all."
