Heta becomes first Australian player into European Tour final in three years

Damon Heta sealed the Gibraltar Darts Trophy title on Sunday but as well as that, he also became the first Australian player into a European Tour final in three years.
Simon Whitlock was the last back in 2019 as well as achieving the feat in 2018 twice and all the way back in 2012, 2013 and 2014 when he was at his pomp.
While similarly, Paul Nicholson when he was towards his best reached two finals back in 2012 and 2013 but only 'The Wizard' has also sealed a European Tour back in 2012 at the Dutch Darts Masters.
He is now joined by his World Cup of Darts winning partner in 'The Heat'.
