Nathan Aspinall had a weekend of comeback wins defeating both Vincent van der Voort and Dirk van Duijvenbode at the Gibraltar Darts Trophy before falling to Michael van Gerwen.
But it was a unique feat in his win over Van der Voort which saw him come from 5-0 down to seal a 6-5 victory as he becomes only the fourth player ever to do so on the European Tour.
Robert Thornton was the same back in 2013 defeating Kurt van de Rijck 6-5, Mervyn King facing Benito van de Pas in 2016 and most recently Mensur Suljovic defeating Jamie Hughes 6-5 back in 2020.
