The highest average was for Steve Lennon. The Irishman, who lost his Tour Card early this year, but immediately regained it at Q-School, was too strong for Mike De Decker in the opening round, 6-4, reaching 110.83. Incidentally, De Decker himself averaged 109.23 in that match, good for the fourth highest average of the day.
Lennon eventually reached the last 32, where he lost 6-4 to Dirk van Duijvenbode.
No final or final victory this time for Ryan Searle, but the second highest average for 'Heavy Metal'. At the last sixteen he went down 6-5 against Brendan Dolan, despite a much higher average (109.45) than his opponent (102.28).
Completing the top three is Jim Williams. The Welshman won 6-2 over Krzysztof Ratajski at the last 32, achieving 109.31 average. Williams eventually lost at the last sixteen 6-1 to eventual winner Damon Heta.
