Belgium are successfully through to the Quarter-Finals of the
World Cup of Darts but had a comeback from
Dimitri van den Bergh against Madars Razma to thank for them not going to a pairs decider.
Kim Huybrechts made light work of Janis Mustafejevs but Van den Bergh had to come from 3-1 down and survive match darts to see off Razma and for the former he lauded it as potentially the 'worst performance' from the country in his time in the tournament.
"When I came off, I know I was lucky to scrape through at the end of my game because I went 3-1 down, I didn't play the way I can and at the end, my finish was at the right moment but Kim came up and he was like we can do a whole lot better," said Van den Bergh post match.
"We are not able to play like this in the next round. We've got to be doing better. We've got to be stronger so whatever he's saying it's true, it's correct.
I'm saying today, it wasn't good but we got through. We have a chance to do better tomorrow and I believe in us that we will not do the same thing."
"I'm really not happy with this performance. I've played this World Cup now for eight years. I think maybe this could be the worst performance singles wise from us both. I am not a happy man," said Huybrechts.
