After overcoming a tough test from the Philippines to prevail 8-5, Wright and Anderson spoke to Online Darts. "Everytime they were doing the right thing. Last six darts they were brilliant," recaps Anderson, who changed the momentum of the game with a brilliant 141 checkout. "What I've got to do to shut you lot up! I love it, it gives me the fight you know. If you say I can't do it, I'm going to try my damndest."
"They didn't give the monkeys about us," says Wright, full of praise for Lourence Ilagan and Christian Perez. "If everyone was like them, the world would be a better place," Anderson adds. "We got away with that one."
After four years since they last played as a team at the World Cup of Darts, Wright was delighted to have the band back together. "It's obviously nice to have Gary back. Especially the way he's playing at the moment. He carried me all the way through the match."
"It's been a while since I've been in front of the camera's so a bit nervous," continues Anderson. "It's a hard game, pairs. They just proved it tonight."
