Jonny Clayton stars with 104+ average as Players Championship 10 gets underway in Hildesheim

Players Championship 10 is now underway in Hildesheim and among the early winners on the Pro Tour this afternoon, Jonny Clayton has starred with a 104.8 average in his opener.
Up against Nathan Rafferty, the Welshman comprehensively wiped the floor with his opponent 6-0 to get off to the perfect start to Players Championship 10. Elsewhere the were wins for the likes of Ricky Evans, Brendan Dolan, Andrew Gilding, Raymond van Barneveld and Keegan Brown in the early results.
Sadly for the likes of Jose De Sousa, Dimitri van den Bergh, Dirk van Duijvenbode and Gabriel Clemens among others however, it's a disappointing first round exit.

- I dont like individuals or crowds trying to put any player off when they are trying to check out, how anyone can think its okay for the crowd to whistle or shout as someone is throwing for a double is beyond me but it does seem to have become part and parcel of the modern game. I no longer play now, darts is as good as dead at a local level round my way but when i did play many years ago, no matter how intense the rivalry you never shouted out or whistled when an opponent from the other team was throwing for a double.Mysstree17-11-2024
