Kist seals maiden PDC Challenge Tour title with Event 19 glory in Leicester

Christian Kist narrowly missed out on a title on the PDC Challenge Tour on Friday, but a day later he clinched it. 'The Lipstick' captured the title at the nineteenth tournament of the season. It is his first ever PDC title for the former Lakeside champion, albeit on the secondary tour.

Kist reached the final after wins over Danny van Trijp (5-4), Lukas Wenig (5-2), Thibault Tricole (5-2) and Karel Sedlacek (5-3), among others, before beating Danny Lauby 5-3 in the final.

Players can earn reserve spots for the Pro Tour 2022 and Tour Cards for 2023 and 2024 on the Challenge Tour. The highest ranked players on the PDC Challenge Tour Order of Merit are eligible for the reserve spots at the Players Championships.

The top two on the Challenge Tour ranking at the end of the season are offered a PDC Tour Card for the following two seasons. In addition, they are also allowed to participate in the PDC World Darts Championship.
