Adrian Lewis was forced to work hard against Ted Evetts, but did the right things at the right time to comfortably defeat his countryman 3-0 at the PDC World Darts Championship 2019.

'Jackpot' averaged 97,2 against Evetts' 95,92, but was the coolest under pressure. Both of the first two sets went to a fifth and deciding leg, with Lewis winning them in 14 and 13 darts. A break of throw in the third leg of the third set put the two-time winner in a strong position, which he converted by hitting D16 for the victory.
Lewis now faces Lithuanian giant killer Darius Labanauskas, who knocked out Raymond van Barneveld in round two.
