Adrian Lewis is through to the Last 16 at the Grand Slam of Darts after defeating Jim Williams in a shootout to move through and he wasn't very best pleased with facing the Welshman as if he lost it would have affected him while it doesn't for 'The Quiff'.

Lewis said that his return to form has been a psychological process more than anything and he said that he got sick of losing and thought after the European Championship when he lost to Simon Whitlock that he wasn't going to have it anymore.
'I'm over the moon, they've got nothing to lose, nothing goes on their ranking because at the end of the day I am playing their best and since Glen (Durrant) left, he's without a shadow the second best,' said Lewis to LiveDarts.
'I've put that much work in, people just think I turn up and throw the darts. The psychological and mental build up means you're drained before you even play the game. That's all you think about, it's alright for people who work a 9-5 job, they go home and that's it. With darts, you take that with you, you're always thinking what's your next step.'
'It wasn't PDC vs PDC so he had nothing to lose. It goes on my ranking, it doesn't go on his ranking. It's not his career, it's not his family, it's my family who I'm trying to look after.'
'I got sick of losing and thought this isn't going to keep happening to me,' he concluded.
