Luke Littler's first nine-darter on the PDC
Pro Tour did not take long to come. Already at the first
Players Championship tournament of the season, it was a hit for 'The Nuke'.
After winning over Jim Williams (6-1) and Luke Woodhouse (6-3) in his first two matches, the 17-year-old teenage sensation faced Michele Turetta in the last 32.
Without playing particularly well, Littler managed to grab a 5-1 lead against the first ever Italian Tour Card holder. However, the Englishman managed to conclude the match in brilliant fashion. Littler started the seventh leg with two 180 scores and then managed to throw a 141 finish for his second nine darter of the year.
Earlier this year, the losing World Championship finalist also threw a nine-darter at the Bahrain Darts Masters. This made him - then at the age of 16 - the youngest player ever to have a nine-darter at a television tournament.
