Players typically wear two logos of tournament sponsors on their shirts at PDC tournaments. Luke Littler, however, may not wear the logos of the sponsors of the New Zealand Darts Masters on his shirt.
Gambling company TAB and beer brewer Steinlager are the two major sponsors of the World Series tournament in Hamilton. Because Littler is still a minor, New Zealand law does not allow him to promote such companies.
Matt Porter, CEO of the PDC, explained to the Waikato Times. "Due to Luke’s age there’s obviously certain brands that it’s not appropriate for him to be associated with. And that’s not just from our side, it’s from the sponsors’ side as well, because, as responsible operators in their fields, they market to adults, they don’t market to children."

Littler began his debut at the New Zealand Darts Masters on Friday with a 6-3 victory over Jonny Tata. On Saturday, he will play Dimitri van den Bergh in the quarterfinals.
