Lukeman on breakout 2022 so far: "It's been a crazy turnaround, I want to be here for a long time"

Martin Lukeman has had a breakout 2022 so far reaching the final of a European Tour and also reaching the Quarter-Final of the recent World Grand Prix.

Recorded prior to that latter run, Lukeman discussed how it all came together to result in going from fighting for his Tour Card to looking towards the top 32 in the world.

"It's everything I've dreamed of, I've worked so hard for it and things are slowly coming together," he said to Dan Dawson for PDC.

"That first lockdown I played all year, two competitions a night online and that's when I thought alright I'm going to give this a proper go. It's been a crazy turnaround, from fighting for my Tour Card to stay in the PDC this year that's all my mission was, now I could be in the top 40 after the World's. It's crazy how it's turned around. I want to be here for a long time, I'm going to work hard for it."
