In just over an hour, Premier League Darts Finals Night will begin but one member of the Sky Sports Darts team who will not be involved in the coverage is Wayne Mardle.
Mardle was like the crowd in raptures last night when Jose de Sousa hit three double 20's for a 120 checkout but this made 'Hawaii 501' lose his voice in the process.
He will now watch the action from home instead of being in the studio for punditry/commentary duties as the Premier League concludes.
Announcing his absence, he also made light of the situation. "I even find ways of not making the Premier League Finals night even when not playing. I’m consistent mind."
