Meulenkamp sets firm target after Coronavirus: "To move towards the top 40 in the world rankings"

Ron Meulenkamp has been in and around 50th in the PDC Order of Merit for a while and he has a firm target in mind when it comes to after the Coronavirus pandemic concludes.

“Actually, the European Tour qualifiers went well in the first months of this year, the ProTour tournaments did not go smoothly. When we are allowed to play again, I have a very clear goal in mind and that is to move towards the top 40 in the world rankings ”, Meulenkamp said to RTL7 Darts .

Due to Coronavirus, many players are left without income. “That's very difficult indeed and should not take too long anymore. Fortunately, I have a very loyal main sponsor who will not let me down any time soon. ”

Meulenkamp is now also a regular analyst guest at RTL7, a poll on their website showed that about 85% of the participants thought he was a good analyst.

“That is something I really like to do, if you get the necessary appreciation for it, that is of course a nice bonus. I always try to give my opinion honestly and with respect for every player, ” he concluded.
