Michael van Gerwen reaches first Euro Tour final of the season after victory over Martin Schindler

Michael van Gerwen will be Luke Humphries' opponent in the final of the German Darts Grand Prix. 'Mighty Mike' triumphed 7-2 against Martin Schindler in the second semifinal.
Van Gerwen posted an average of 101 and a finishing percentage of 50 percent in his match. After four legs the score was still 2-2, but then Van Gerwen distanced himself from his German opponent.
He broke Schindler in the sixth leg with a 12-darter, then Van Gerwen threw a 14-darter in the seventh leg for 5-2. In leg eight, the Dutchman again showed his class with an 11-darter. Then Van Gerwen finally took the win with a 65 finish.
