Nathan Aspinall is having an excellent
Premier League Darts season so far this year. After ten of the sixteen rounds of play, 'The Asp' is in a very creditable third place behind
Luke Littler and
Luke Humphries.
The darter from Stockport had started the competition with three defeats, but then reached the final four times. One of these finals Aspinall also managed to win.
According to statistics platform Darts Orakel, Aspinall is showing himself especially deadly in playing decisive legs. 'The Asp' was forced to play a leg-decider five times, but did not lose one.
Aspinall is the only player in this Premier League darts who has not yet lost a deciding leg. Remarkably, Luke Humphries is the only player who has not yet won a deciding leg in Premier League Darts 2024.
The reigning world champion lost all of his five last-leg shootouts. Luke Littler played the most decisive legs in ten rounds of play. 'The Nuke' had to play an eleventh leg eight times. Four times Littler emerged victorious, while he also had to take four defeats.
