Needle between Heta and Huybrechts as Aussie seals deciding leg win as Clayton punishes poor doubling display from Van Duijvenbode

Damon Heta has been adding more character on stage to his darting persona and it seemed to rub Kim Huybrechts up the wrong way during his win over the Belgian on Sunday afternoon at the Czech Darts Open.

After Huybrechts mimicked his celebration, Heta produced a 105 checkout on double 16 and there was needle between the pair at the end with Huybrechts left annoyed as the Aussie moves through.

This was a third ton-plus checkout of the match for Heta in a superb display and he won it 6-5 in the decider with the Belgian waiting to pounce.

While Jonny Clayton also moved through seeing off Dirk van Duijvenbode to move into the Quarter-Finals where he will play Heta.

Clayton punished 11 missed darts at doubles from Van Duijvenbode with a 101.8 average en route to victory. Van Duijvenbode soon fell behind 4-0 against Clayton, who scored two 13-darters and a 12-darter. Van Duijvenbode fought back to 5-3, but then saw Clayton decide the match via double 4.
