O'Connor and Webster have needle after first Grand Slam of Darts group game: 'I looked back at my darts case and everything was covered in water'

William O'Connor and Darren Webster faced off in their opening group game at the Grand Slam of Darts on Saturday afternoon and the duo had needle which was coined 'Water gate'.

O'Connor pointed at Webster after the game and had a go at him and in an interview with Sky Sports' interviewer Mikki Austin; he said that water was poured all over his stuff which really annoyed him and saw him go on to claim victory despite the problems.

Webster in typical fashion replied on Twitter in a more light hearted tone; saying that there should be VAR at the darts; as it would have shown that the glass was upside down; it was an accident as opposed to on purpose.

As a result of this, it will be interesting to see when the duo next face off what will happen; as well as whether 'Water gate' will roar on.
