With the PDC World Championship semi-finals looming, the PDC have taken a look at how the battling duos compare. In the first semi-final, 16-time world champion Phil Taylor meets Jamie Lewis, the first ever player to start in the preliminary round and get this far. After that, world number one Michael van Gerwen clashes with Rob Cross, the man he beat to win the European Championships. Here's the Darts News preview of tonight's action.
What is interesting in the opening game is how close Phil Taylor and Jamie Lewis' records are for this year's championship. Taylor is just 0.2 points ahead in the averages, and his doubles success rate of 51.89% is only marginally better than the Welshman's 46.51%. Lewis has struck 18 more 180s than the Power, but has played one game more.

- It happens. Remember, anyone who has watched German and Dutch players in matches - their respective countries will have seen/heard just as bad jeering (if not worse). - Was watching an old World Masters final the other day between Eric Bristow and John Lowe, the crowd respect for both players on throw was first class, not a sound. You can imagine now the idiots who were whistling on De Deckers throw proudly boasting about it on social media. I even turned to my husband and said "Could you imagine this happening if Russ Bray was the referee tonight? At least there would have been a crowd admonishment- Ladies and Gentleman please."
