Price agrees with Clayton on best potential Rugby player: "I'd probably say Michael Smith"

Last week we brought you Jonny Clayton's answer to the question of who would make the better rugby player, Michael van Gerwen or Michael Smith? It seems, Gerwyn Price agrees.

"I'd probably say Michael Smith," answers Price. The Iceman knows better than anyone what it takes to combine success in both Rugby and Darts, having famously made the switch between both sports.
"He'd probably be a 6 or an 8," Price continues, explaining Smith's positioning on the pitch, something that lines up well with what his World Cup of Darts partner proposed. "You'd just put him anywhere where he can carry the ball," was |Clayton's response.

- I agree that this season the format was a bit stale, it would be better to have some new faces rotated in through the season. - I don't really understand why its an issue that Littler doesn't play in the events, they are barely televised so there is no draw for marketing and it gives the other players a better chance to define their narratives. The events are more of a throw back to old events. - Not everyone wants to watch pub players throwing 70 averages for about £500. Premier League is indeed a cash cow, but it does its job of promoting the game. - Laura looking fantastic and obviously has a hidden talent as a dart player. It was so nice to see her shock and joy of hitting that triple 20 I miss Laura, she was excellent and very knowledgeable regarding darts.
