Smith sets himself clear goal: "Now I want the Prem"

In the last twelve months, Michael Smith has come on leaps and bounds. From being one of darts nearly men, to finally taking his first major title and then fulfilling his destiny and becoming world champion.

So, what next is the question? Speaking as part of a Q&A on the PDC's official Twitter account, Smith outlined his intention to add the Premier League Darts title to his growing collection of titles.

"It was always the Grand Slam, they were my two favourite events," Smith says in response to the question of which event other than the World Championship did he want to win most.

"Now I want the Prem," he adds. "And if I get the Prem, then I want the Matchplay."
