Gerwyn Price will face off against Jonny Clayton in the second Quarter-Final on Friday night at the 2021
Grand Slam of Darts as he survived a scare winning 10-8 against Bradley Brooks.
Price lamented his display afterwards admitting it should have been more comfortable and that she should have streaked away when he got the chance.
"I made it difficult. Early on should have been 4-1 up possibly could have been 5-0 up and I'm keeping players in the game and I don't know what it is, I must just like to entertain the crowd, I'm not sure," he said post match.
"It was tough to get over the winning line and how I hit the double, I'm not sure."
Clayton tie
Next up is Clayton with the premise of the tie taking place before it was then confirmed and he is looking to get one over his close friend this time.
"I should have beat him last time and I bombed opportunities and he knows that as well but I need to take my chances when they come around and lately I haven't been."
Praise for Brooks
He also discussed his opponent in the Last 16 who wasn't afraid to give it large like Price which he enjoyed.
"Reminded me a bit of Kim Huybrechts when we used to play. I love it when people give it back and that's what it's all about. It was a difficult game, I think I was fortunate to get over the winning line."
