Jonny Clayton breezed past Nathan Rafferty 10-2 to claim his spot in the Quarter-Finals as he hunts down another major and it's so far so good for 'The Ferret'.
Clayton spoke afterwards and said that it was confidence that was the margin of victory as opposed to experience in this case.
"Confidence I think more than experience but I came out of the blocks fast and I think that's what won the game. All the pressures onto Nathan and I think that won me that match," said Clayton post match.
"I just concentrated on winning leg by leg and obviously it went my way maybe then experience comes into it."
But despite having the best year of his career and winning title after title the nerves are still there.
"It's great to have them runs, it's great to have them averages but I'm still nervous. It's still difficult but I've done my job."
Price clash
Next up is the match that everyone is craving as Clayton faces World Number One and close friend, Gerwyn Price and he is expecting the roars to come from the Iceman.
"Best of friends, always before and after match but on the stage we go out to win. I've got so much respect for Gezzy (Price) and it's going to be a battle hopefully.
"He's going to shout his head off, he's done it tonight so he's going to give it me big time on Friday night so I'm expecting it. I haven't got a big voice like him."
