Gerwyn Price lost out last night in the final of the 2020 UK Open in a remarkable defeat to Michael Van Gerwen.

Price was cruising at 5-1 up; but as he started to miss doubles, Van Gerwen became ruthless and snatched the UK Open title away.
This was despite ‘The Iceman’ having darts in every leg after going 5-1 up and subsequently not taking his chances. He was understandably gutted afterwards; but admitted he isn’t going to dwell for too long.
"Sometimes you win and sometimes you lose, but I'll move onto the next one," said Price. "I think Michael would agree that I probably lost that game.
"I bombed numerous opportunities - my scoring game was there but in three or four legs I bombed doubles. I could have been 9-6 up, but that's the way darts goes.
"If I hit my doubles, I think possibly I am the best player in the world - but at the moment Michael's there."
