Price wins superb tie against Ratajski with 109 average, Smith eases past Eidams at European Darts Open

Gerwyn Price has qualified for the third round at the European Darts Open after an excellent match against Krzysztof Ratajski.
The Welshman and the Pole provided a spectacular duel, in which 10 of the 11 legs were out within 15 darts. Halfway through the match, Price was throwing an average of 114, but the lead was 4-2 with Ratajski after a 129 finish and a 13-darter, among others. Price, however, came back to 4-4 with two 14-darters. Both players then held their own leg, before Price took the win with an 80 finish.
Following Price, reigning world champion Michael Smith also managed to reach the last sixteen. 'Bully Boy' was 6-3 too strong for German Rene Eidams.
