This is to tie in with an expanded 159 player line up who will take their place in the tournament known to many as the FA Cup of Darts. As a result the winner at the 2019 UK Open will claim a record £100,000. This is up £30,000 from the previous total.
The runner up will only claim £5,000 more at £40,000 but due to the increased format, the money will have to be shared more evenly.
Every round gets an increase with Last 96 claiming £1,000 with Last 64 players receiving £2,000 for reaching that stage. With the increased format and prize fund, it will give players more incentive to come through the field and claim the title in Minehead.
