Provisional field for 2021 World Matchplay with one event till cut-off

The provisional field is confirmed for the World Matchplay ahead of the final day of action at PDC Super Series 5 with only a few spots still left to be confirmed.

At the moment 27/32 spots have seemingly been secured in recent days with only the last five spots under threat these being held by Vincent van der Voort, Ian White, Ryan Searle, Callan Rydz and Chris Dobey.

Gabriel Clemens has seemingly shown that getting over £31,000 is the magic number with £31,500 enough to see the German in the current final confirmed spot.

Van der Voort sits below him on £31,000 so a small run of sorts would likely see the Dutchman become the first confirmed out of the five remaining.

While, it is mainly Dobey who is in a precarious position in 16th place currently. He sits ahead of Jermaine Wattimena (£23,750) who will have at least a Quarter-Final in mind to take his spot if Dobey goes out early.

Martijn Kleermaker similarly will draw level with the same run while the likes of Darius Labanauskas and Madars Razma seemingly will need runs towards the final to confirm spots.

Further down, Raymond van Barneveld would likely need a win today to put himself in position. As would Adrian Lewis who is in danger of not qualifying for the first time in 17 years.

Steve Beaton's played in the last 20 World Matchplays and is £9,500 off the spots as well and so a slew of names which also include Ricky Evans and Kim Huybrechts stand not to qualify for this year's tournament.
