Record number of nationalities at 2020 World Grand Prix

At the next edition of the World Grand Prix (October 6-12), more than ten nationalities will participate in the double-in double-out tournament for the first time.
Players from eleven different countries managed to qualify for the World Grand Prix. England still delivers the most participants with 15 players, while the Netherlands has four representatives.
Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland and Belgium each have two players playing in Coventry. On behalf of Poland, Austria, South Africa, Portugal and Germany, there is one player at the World Grand Prix.
Devon Petersen is the first (South) African to participate in this tournament. For the first time since 2008, an Australian darter is missing. Simon Whitlock was one place short on the PDC Order of Merit for qualification.
