Rusty-Jake Rodriguez has strengthened his lead at the top of the PDC European Development Tour standings with his fourth title of the season.
Rodriguez has been imperious so far this season and took that into Event Seven coming from 2-0 down to defeat Fabian Schmutzler in the final.
En route, he took out one of his nearest rivals, Geert Nentjes 5-4 with a 102 average as well as Sebastian Bialecki 5-4. He also produced a 107 average in defeating Jurjen van der Velde and a 101 against Marvin van Velzen.
He now sits on £8,500 compared to Niels Zonneveld on £3,600 and Jurjen van der Velde on £3,200 who will likely do battle for the World Championship spot.
This is due to the Austrian already sealing his spot due to playing on the ProTour all season as an Associate Member.
He is now likely barring a miracle to join Bradley Brooks in winning this year's Development Tour.
