Ryan Joyce and Brendan Dolan first men through to second round at German Darts Grand Prix

Ryan Joyce and Brendan Dolan have both made it past the first round at the German Darts Grand Prix in Munich this Saturday afternoon.

First up, Joyce took victory against Kevin Doets. Doets missed one chance at the double in each of the first two legs, while Joyce made it 2-0 by throwing out 150 and 25. Doets came back to 2-2, but missed two more chances in the sixth leg. Joyce then hit double 8 to make it 4-2. Doets then managed to bounce back again. He fought back to 4-4, but was not out in five visits. A 16-darter brought Joyce to 5-4, after which the Englishman managed to take the match finely with a 12-darter.

Brendan Dolan advanced a round at the German Darts Grand Prix at the expense of Alan Soutar. He broke his Scottish opponent in the sixth leg via double 11 and extended the lead to 5-2 with a 17-darter. Dolan then pulled the trigger with a 12-darter for the match.
