The PDC Home Tour is upon us with darts becoming one of the only sports to find a place in this modern landscape of the Coronavirus pandemic where it has almost ceased.
Albeit from home but after the success of their Darts from Home competitions; featuring the likes of Devon Petersen, Nathan Aspinall, Matthew Edgar and Chris Dobey; it led to the
creation of the PDC Home Tour by PDC Chairman Barry Hearn which sees all PDC Tour Card holders invited to play.
This means that in a time with no sport, there will be 32 consecutive days of darts with four different players each night; with a winner crowned at the end and
Peter Wright is the star attraction on the opening night.
The reigning World Champion will over WiFi (which has affected
Gary Anderson getting involved) and his webcam start his campaign against multiple Challenge Tour winner and PDC ranking finalist
Peter Jacques.
Jamie Lewis, World Championship semi-finalist is also involved on the opening night; he will take on Dutch prospect
Niels Zonneveld; from there the four players will play in a round robin format with every player facing each other on a given night; with like alluded to the player with the most points winning through to the next round.
With each night’s action commencing at 1930 BST, darts commentator Dan Dawson will be on hand to talk through proceedings; which will also include live score graphics on screen.
All
PDC Home Tour action will be broadcast live
on PDCTV for free to all registered PDCTV users; regardless of whether you have a paid or free membership.
In addition all live-scores can be followed
on DartConnect; with match statistics being available after every match.
