Schindler retains perfect record in PDC Europe Super League, Marijanovic and Münch out after pre-lim round

Martin Schindler has retained his unbeaten start to life in the PDC Europe Super League with 'The Wall' once again seeing off Dragutin Horvat, Lukas Wenig, Marcel Gerdon, Karsten Koch and Kevin Münch and managed to win all his ten matches in two days.

However, the top four of each group will advance to the second stage, which means that Horvat, Wenig and Gerdon also survived this group. Karsten Koch and former World Championship participant Kevin Münch are eliminated.

From Group B, Christian Bunse, Manfred Bilderl, Nico Kurz and Michael Hurtz moved into the second round. That means that the tournament is saying goodbye to Sascha Stein and Jens Kniest.

Surprisingly, Robert Marijanovic was unable to finish in the top four in Group C. The Tour Card holder finished fifth and, like Thomas Köhnlein, is eliminated. Kai Gotthardt, Stefan Nilles, Florian Hempel and Niko Springer are also through from this group.

Max Hopp, Franz Rötzsch, Rene Eidams and Marco Obst finished in the top four places in Group D, leaving Steffen Siepmann and Daniel Klose out of the tournament.

Format

The sixteen remaining players will be split into two groups of eight players. They will play twice on April 19 and 20 against the other players in their group. The four best players from both groups will advance to the final phase of the PDC Europe Super League.

From this stage on, all are knockout matches. The quarterfinals will be played over best of 17 legs on April 21. The four remaining players will play their semi-finals over the best of 19 legs on April 22, followed by the final over best of 21 legs.
