Fallon Sherrock twelve months ago produced a moment that will go down in darting history at the
PDC World Darts Championship when she shattered the glass ceiling and defeated Ted Evetts.
Since then, Sherrock has become a household name and despite not qualifying for this years' tournament, 'The Queen of the Palace' admitted she never expected her life to change as it has.
โI never ever thought my whole world would change like this," said Sherrock to SunSport.
โI knew I was more than capable of winning. I went up there and played my own game.
โBut I never expected afterwards for people to look at me and think, โYouโre a role model. Youโve proved anything can happenโ.
โI was just Fallon, who played darts, and supported the youth. Now I was getting so many messages, people saying I was an inspiration.
โIt was so lovely and Iโm so proud. It was an incredible experience.โ
Following that victory, celebrities flocked to congratulate Sherrock and she recounts the aftermath of this.
โIt was insane. I went back to the hotel bar and had a coffee with my manager, Jason.
โWe went over everything that had happened. I eventually slept for two hours before going on Good Morning Britain.
โThen we were straight to another place. I didnโt have time for food or drink. It was bang, bang, bang, until 10pm the next day. I was knackered.
โBut I enjoyed every moment of it. I didnโt know if Iโd ever experience this again.
โI spoke with Ted after everything happened. Heโs been really supportive. He was a big moment in history, too.โ
