Smith confident after ending De Sousa's run: "Mentally I feel better than I ever have"

Michael Smith is through to the Quarter-Finals after ending the run of Jose de Sousa with a 10-7 win at the Players Championship Finals.

Smith gain revenge for losing out to De Sousa at the Grand Slam of Darts and mentally, he admitted he is as confident as ever.

“Mentally I feel better than I ever have,” said Smith.

“My scoring isn’t what it normally is but I know I can get that back, what really pleases me is how strong I feel in my own head at the moment.”
