Jonny Clayton will not be at the European Championship in a few weeks time after being dumped out in the second round at the
Gibraltar Darts Trophy.
Facing off against
Adam Smith-Neale, the former World Master saw off the current Premier League champion 6-4 and with 'The Ferret' failing to get out of his first game in the two events, he won't head to Salzburg, while 'Big Dog' will.
He defied a 94 average from Clayton and four 180's with the finishing of Smith-Neale - a slender 6/18 compared to 4/18 to Clayton proved the difference.
While for
Jose de Sousa, he wasn't in any danger himself of losing out as he whitewashed Kenny Neyens 6-0.
A 92 average and 54% on the doubles saw 'The Special One' move through with a similar performance to the one seen against Dyson Parody not good enough.
