The 19th
Players Championship of the year was a triumph for Callan Rydz.
Mensur Suljovic had a decent run, but fell at the last 32 after a 6-5 defeat to Vladimir Andersen.
Suljovic is not currently experiencing the best year of his career, the 51-year-old Austrian having now dropped to 32nd in the world rankings.
'The Gentle' threw a 180 score only thirty times at the first eighteen Players Championships this year.
It was therefore quite remarkable that Suljovic managed to throw 11 at the 19th Players Championship, accounting for some 25% of his total 180 scores this year.
So finally signs of improvement for Suljovic, who still hopes to qualify for the World Championship in the coming months.
