With the 2024 season now over eight months through, it's time to take stock and measure who is overperforming and underperforming. When looking at who has the most 180s so far this year within the PDC, a surprising name tops the list.
None other than Wessel Nijman has thrown the most 180-scores in the current PDC season. The Dutchman has already played 157 matches this campaign and managed to throw the highest possible score 441 times. Nijman does have the advantage of also being allowed to play on the PDC Development Tour, which means he plays a lot more matches than the other players on the PDC circuit. When you convert Nijman's 180 scores to the number of 180 scores per leg, Nijman comes out at 0.33. This puts Nijman seventh in the 180-scores per leg rankings.
Luke Littler is in second place in the 180 standings. The 17-year-old Englishman has played 94 matches so far this season and produced 432 maximum scores. That amounts to an average of 0.36 180s per leg. World champion Luke Humphries has already thrown 381 180-scores this season, good for third place.
If you look at purely the number of 180-scores per leg, Gary Anderson tops the list. He has thrown 266 maximum scores in just 45 games this year. He throws 0.43 180-scores per leg, or more than four 180-scores in every 10 legs he plays.
Another player doing well in that regard is Ross Smith, who is also known as a very prolific 180-hitter. With 339 180-scores, the Englishman is fifth in the standings with most 180-scores this season. Relative to the number of legs played, Smith throws 0.38 180-scores per leg.
